Dried flowers
Although dried flowers used to make us think of dusty bouquets in your mother or grandmother’s house, now they’re bang on trend again. So include them in your range. You can also get creative with them, because you can use dried flowers for a wide variety of projects. We would like to give you more information about these long-lasting flowers, together with inspiration for using them in stunning creations.
Benefits of dried flowers
Dried flowers offer many benefits, including:
Durable
Dried flowers owe their reputation to their durability and their 100% natural product identity. Dried flowers last a year on average. If the dried flowers are painted, they can even last a couple of years. Dried flowers can therefore be used to create durable arrangements and bouquets.
No green fingers required
The flowers do not need any water, so they are very easy to look after. Ideal for your customers who struggle to care for flowers.
Ideal decoration for events
Because dried flowers have undergone a drying process, they remain natural and look beautiful throughout the event.
Lots of variety
Just like fresh flowers, dried flowers are available in all sorts of shapes, colours and sizes, from Nigella, Helichrysum, Delphinium, Rodanthe, Roses, Acroclinium, Sanfordii and Echinops to Lavender, Avena, Triticum, Phalaris and Lagurus. These flowers are enhanced by adding paint, glitter, snow, frosting, fragrance and herbs.
Available all year round
We can supply dried flowers throughout the year because our dried flower suppliers hold extensive stocks. Every season the collection is supplemented with new dried flowers or other dried products that are appropriate for that particular season.
Looking after dried flowers
Dried flowers can last a very long time. That means they are easy and sustainable, because you don’t have to keep buying new flowers. But you do need to look after them a bit. For example, makes sure you don’t bump into them, because that can cause the leaves and petals to fall off. You should also try to keep them out of the sun.
Dried flowers filter
You can buy dried flowers from our stock using the ‘dry and prepared’ filter. The range that you can find here is sourced by our buyer Bertus Heemskerk. He has been enthusiastically sourcing dried flowers for Heemskerk Flowers for 22 years. He is keen to tell you more about dried flowers and prepared flowers on our blog. Click here for the blog.

Dried flower partners
Our webshop features a link to decorations supplier Lamboo Dried & Deco. They have been drying flowers since 1982. As flower growers and dried flower producers they developed a unique system for producing and supplying high quality dried flowers.
We also have a link to DecoFleur. This family business was founded in 1981, and started out drying flowers.
With these links we can offer you many varieties and colours of dried and prepared flowers. You can find these links in our webshop under the heading 'Deco'
Styling with dried flowers
Dried flowers can be used as individual decorations in a vase or loose in a bowl, for instance, or incorporated in bouquets, flower arrangements or wreathes.

But there are many other ways to style dried flowers. For example, you can place them under a bell jar, frame them, hang them up or place them inside vases or bottles.
Combine dried and fresh flowers
We are increasingly seeing dried flowers being combined with fresh flowers. This wedding creation from our customer in Greece is an excellent example.
